Forgivness Meditation

The Art of Forgiveness

First lets clarify what forgiveness is, or is not. It is not condoning the action or actions of another that led to pain or trauma. It is an act of re-claiming your power. Allowing yourself the freedom to no longer be bound or controlled by the painful emotions of fear and unworthiness, that in turn create "auto pilot" reactions in our lives. Thus paving the way for the self-fullfilling prophecy of further victimization, Trauma or pain. It is an act of saying that these emotions of pain, fear no longer control who you are today, they no longer define you. In my experience I have found that we all hold guilt or a sense of responsibility for our part in being a victim, as in " I should have screamed louder, fought harder, known better" ect. Thus forgiveness is a two part exercise, one forgiving them for causing the pain, and secondly ourselves for being a part of the exchange of energy that took place.
The following Meditation is an exercise in forgiveness. I recommend when you do this allow yourself plenty of time, do no more than three people in one session, and do not be surprised if the same people return again and again.
Imagine yourself in a Forest, the trees are very tall, full and old. The grass is rich and lush. You can hear birds singing in the tree tops, and the air is clean and crisp. see flowers, butterflies, and a blue sky. Feel the air around you, the warmth and safety. Smell the fresh scent of wild flowers. as you look upward you see that the sun is filtering thru the trees and creating a halo effect of light. Stand in this light and let it bathe you in warmth, love and healing. Now look to your left, you notice a person from your past that caused you pain. Invite them into your light, if you can take their hands in yours, look deeply into their eyes and repeat "I forgive you, I forgive me, I take my power back now and set us both free" imagine this person being encircled with a bubble of light and floating off. bask in your light for a moment. feel yourself become lighter. now repeat up to three people. More if you like.
You may do this as often as you like, the people coming in can be family, friends, or someone you dont even recognize, it is okay, go with whatever comes up. Feel Your Power! Feel your Light! You are a unique, perfect experssion of the divine in physical body!

It is helpful to write down any thoughts or images after this meditation to reference later on. This meditation is geared for you to experience oneness with the divine, as well as the world and its inhabitants. We are all connected, as a tapestry, each thread connecting the next, weaving a beautiful work of art called life. Each thread growing as needed, expanding evolving, creating. Dark threads, light threads, threads we would call evil, or good..all linked together as the pieces of the puzzle. None more or less important than the other. Some threads break and another takes up the gap ever growing ever changing. We are all connected and important. We are all worthy and Loved. Blessed Be Lori
Begin in your sacred space. Relax and breathe in light all thru the body. Ask your guides or angels to assist you in rising above the world. Feel your body becoming lighter and floating upward, upward, beyond the trees, beyond the clouds,allow your self to gently run a cord thru the navel area and into the core of the earth this is your grounding cord so you may easily find your way back to the present time and place. allow yourself to feel the freedom, as you rise higher, and higher..up thru the atmosphere, up thru the cosmos, There is a bridge in front you and as you stand upon the bridge you can look down on the world, take in what you see, feel, hear. Imagine what the Creator would see thru your eyes..now you thru his/hers. What do you see now? Look closely. What do you hear now? Listen closely. What do you feel now? Feel it with all of your soul. When you are finished follow your cord back into the atmosphere, down thru the clouds past thru the trees. And safely in your sacred space once more.

Close your eyes and take a slow deep breath..Imagine breathing in peace, breathing out stress. Do this three times. telling yourself to relax. Calm. Feel all the stress and tension melt out of your body. Imagine, visualize or feel as you are in a meadow, the grass is a dark green and soft to the touch. There is the faint smell of wild flowers in the air. The sky is crystal clear blue and there is just a slight breeze in the air around you. As you walk along a dirt path you see a gate leading into a beautiful garden. In the center of the garden is a fountain pouring forth clear cool water, there are bench's to sit on near the fountain, made of marble yet very comfortable. Now ask for your angel to appear for you. See hear and feel the presence, this angel may appear as a male or female depending on what you need at the time. As always what is needed for your highest good is what is given. Take note of any colors or clothing this angel is wearing. Look at their facial features, the definition of their body and wings if you see them. Ask them for their name. Allow them to hold you very close, comforting you, telling you how loved you are. Open to receive their gift.
I get told quite often how people think it is all imagination therefore not real. My response is this: What better more easily accessed path is there? Children are blessed with active imaginations, and they swear they see and hear what we can not. When we mature we somehow lose our ability to believe in the impossible. What if....imagination was all that is needed, what if imagination were the key to tapping into the other realm so to speak? So don't discount what you get accept the gift as it is given. Blessed Be!

Inner Child Healing

This month we shall focus on Inner child healing. But first lets examine what the inner child is. This is a term for a fracture in the emotional body, by a "life defining moment" It can be a minor moment such as a 5 year old refusing to have a picture taken and making her mom cry and her dad angry, or it can be a major moment as in abuse or molestation. You may have many inner children, or only one or two. They can be represented as boys or girls, infants, all the way up to your age now. These children represent your experience of situations, people and emotions. Therefore they are you, and there is no wrong or right.
The Meditation:
Imagine yourself in a meadow and it is warm and sunny, you are surrounded by children of all ages, some may be jumping rope, playing in the creek, reading, some may be laughing while others are crying. find a child that draws you..sit next to them, ask them whats wrong. Are they feeling sad, lonely, scared, angry? talk with them a while. Tell them how grateful you are for them being there, and you appreciate all they have done and sacrificed for you. Tell them you love them. Now if it is possible invite this child into your arms and give them a hug, just as you would your son or daughter. Tell this child you are ready to carry their load, they have done enough and are free to play now..feel this child merge with your heart.
Do as many as you are comfortable doing. Some may take several visits before they completely trust you and merge. Remember you are being the parent to the younger you..the parent you wished you'd had. Blessed be!
